I’m disappointed Rob Johnson has decided to step down early instead of finishing his term on the Seattle City Council. He has been a tireless and successful advocate for policies that address housing affordability, improve our transportation system, and tackle climate change. His vision and hard work will be missed. Transportation’s Back to the Future Moment

As a kid in the 1980’s, I would occasionally see news footage that showed masses of people in China riding bicycles as their main form of transportation. The message that I heard was that people in dense, undeveloped China rode bikes, while we Americans were advanced enough to drive cars.
